About ben wohl

My name is Ben Wohl, and I am thrilled to be running to be your CUSG Representative-At-Large. I am currently a third-year student majoring in Political Science while pursuing a minor in History.
I was born and raised in Wellesley, Massachusetts. I spent my first year of college studying at the University of Denver, but transferred to CU Boulder my sophomore year, where I was welcomed with open arms by our Buffs community. Though I grew up playing sports, I found my real passion in politics and social justice when I was young.
In the last few years, I have taken my passion to a new level. Participating in racial justice protests this summer, working on the Kennedy Senate Campaign, working as fellow on the Biden Presidential Campaign, and most recently participating in a fellowship at the Bryan Barash City Council Campaign. These experiences have left me poised to be a vocal advocate for those at a disadvantage. From my experience in the field, I have learned how to listen, take action, and make the connections needed to institute change.
If given the privilege of serving as your Representative-At-Large, though I will fight for every student, I intend to focus my work on and students with learning disabilites.
Having learning disabilities myself, I know what it is like to struggle in school. But, I also know first hand the positive impact of having someone who understands you, fighting for you. With drive and initiative, I plan on increasing students' awareness of university programs designed for those with learning disabilities, and strengthen them in any way possible.
Thank you
