Hello! My name is Suvu Singh and I am running to be your Representative-at-Large under the For the People ticket alongside Sophia Clarke. I am majoring in Journalism and minoring in Political Science.

I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal and I moved to the United States when I was 9 years old. Since then, I’ve moved around quite a bit from the midwest to the east coast and have had the opportunity to meet people from different places in this country.

What inspired me to run for this year's election is my passion to serve our community by ensuring that every student feels represented, heard, and safe. I believe that CUSG representatives should reflect the entire student body. I am really passionate about serving the CU community by making sure we tackle core issues such as racism, safety of women and more. I strive to make positive changes for my fellow buffs. I will be able to excel at this because I have experience as well as vision. During high school, I served as the International Club president, where I closely worked with the administration and the student government to promote diversity and different cultures. We also brought together the student body to fundraise for non-profit organizations. I am currently serving as the director of PR for Nepali Youth for Change, a youth organization I co-founded in efforts to create a platform to discuss and tackle social issues within the Nepali community. Through this organization, we raised $1,134 for a Lebanese organization in the midst of the bombing in Lebanon. I also serve as an ambassador for LetHerLearn, a youth organization that strives to achieve gender equality by ensuring young girls get proper and fair education.

I will  prioritize the concerns of each student and make it my mission to promote diversity, inclusion, and unity in order to make sure every single student feels heard, safe, and represented.
